After a very busy week, this afternoon Jeanette and I went for a drive out in the countryside. How wonderful to observe the arrival of Spring. After a long, dry winter new life is returning to the trees, grass and all of nature. What a glorious reminder of God’s miraculous, transforming power through the miracle of salvation – new life and beauty!
We trust that you have enjoyed a good week of God’s grace and blessing. It is so easy to take His daily blessings of peace, protection and provision for granted.
Jeanette and I are both doing much better health-wise and we thank you for your prayerful interest. Ministry-wise we concluded the month of evangelism in our church. This took place through Sunday meetings, street work, distribution of literature and through the media via Facebook and YouTube. We thank the Lord for folks who responded to the gospel message.
From this week I am allowed to drive again, for which Jeanette is very grateful. She has had to chauffeur me everywhere for the past six weeks and this, together with loadshedding (power cuts) of 2½ hours three times per day, threw her schedule out completely. Now she can catch up with office work again! On a few Sundays our service was interrupted with these sudden blackouts. However, somehow we managed to get through the meetings.
As South Africans know, the energy situation in this country is critical and we do not see a solution in the foreseeable future.
