Dear Visitor,
We greet you in the all-prevailing name of Jesus Christ, who loved us and gave Himself for us.
Here is an update on what has been happening in our lives: Since last September, when we both had cataracts removed from both eyes, Jeanette has had quite a few problems with her left eye. After four injections into the eye with still no improvement the medical aid eventually gave authorisation for a slow-releasing pellet to be injected into the eye this week. We have been told that this will stop the inflammation and water accumulating in the eye itself. So far it seems to be working and we praise the Lord for better vision in the eye.
Cecil had a growth removed from the top of his left hand (between the thumb and the second finger). It was cancerous but of a type that does not spread. However, it was removed in time – another 2mm and it would have gone into the bone and that would have been very serious. Praise the Lord for His mercy as it could have been so much worse! However, being a diabetic, healing is taking a bit longer than usual. Skin from the thumb had to be pulled over the hole and it is quite a big cut.
This week Trinity Church is conducting a ‘Holiday Bible Club’ for primary school children. Do pray that many will attend and that these young lives will meet with Jesus. Salvation at a young age is so important.
Tomorrow Cecil will be preaching on Philippians 1:6 NKJV: “being confident of this very thing that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” This verse has been so meaningful over the years. Something we must never doubt.
