Last Monday we suddenly had an exceptionally cold day.  I thought that our winter only starts in June/July.  The seasons seem to be struggling to make up their minds!

We trust that all is well and that your faith is bearing up amidst all the conflicts and tensions.  There is a saying in Afrikaans “Elke huis het sy kruis” (Every house has its cross).  We are absolutely amazed at the many problems and struggles that so many homes are experiencing.

The ministry at Trinity Baptist Church has been a tough experience as a result of the Covid virus but we are noticing restoration and renewal within the congregation, so much so that we will be having a Baptismal Service tomorrow (Sunday 20^th).  We rejoice at God’s blessing.  A lesson to be learned:  when the going is tough just remain in the Word and God will give the breakthrough.

We thank you for the part you play in this ministry through prayer and support.  Let’s keep “pressing towards the mark of the prize of the high calling”!

PS.  L E Maxwell in his book Embraced by the Cross on Page 190 writes “According to the old Latin Vulgate, Psalm 96:12 should read: ‘Tell it among the heathen, that the Lord reigneth from the Tree’. Justin Martyr accuses the Jews of having deliberately erased the words a lingo, lest they establish the rule of the Crucified ‘from the tree’.”  Isn’t it amazing how one word can make all the difference between time and eternity.
