Greetings in our Saviour’s precious Name! We are back from a much needed break from all activity, having spent good time resting, reading and swimming.
Unfortunately, at the start of the second week of our vacation Cecil slipped on wet tiles at the pool, fell backwards and hit his head, first on a wooden storage box and then on the tiles. He was taken to the medical clinic where, after a brain scan, it was revealed that there was no bleeding on the brain or fractures of the skull. He had follow-up visits with a brilliant Specialist Physician who detected another problem and is sorting that out.
All we can do is praise the Lord. It was an absolute miracle that Cecil only ended up with very bad bruising on his buttocks and leg and escaped serious injuries to his head. No cut, no abrasions, no injury to his head at all! If you had heard the crash you would not have believed that he escaped so lightly. We can only give all the glory to God for His protection of His servant. “In all things God works together for good to those who love Him,…”. There were other miracles related to this incident as well as the Lord leading us to this fantastic Physician, based in Plettenberg Bay, which is much closer to Port Elizabeth and will save us having to fly to his Cardiologist in Johannesburg.
After all that excitement (!) we are now ready to get started again. Cecil starts preaching again at Trinity Baptist Church tomorrow (27th).

PS. Report back on Jeanette’s eyes. She had to have more injections into her left eye – one in January and again last week, with another one in three weeks. Apparently, the eye is still inflamed inside. Please pray that this will solve the problem, otherwise there will be another course of injections.
