Dear ,

We greet you in the prevailing name of Jesus Christ by whom we have immediate access to the Throne of Grace, who ever lives to make intercession for us and by whom we have received eternal salvation and whose coming we expect with great joy and assurance.

Turn with me for a few moments to John 15:1-8. Jesus is speaking of Himself as the true Vine and the Father the vine-dresser. He refers to us as the branches that have been grafted into the Vine. His expectation of the branches is the bearing of fruit, so let’s note the types of fruit bearing:

“No fruit” verse 2
“Bears fruit” verse 2
“More fruit” verse 2
“Much fruit” verse 5

There are different kinds of fruit in the Bible, such as “fruit in keeping with repentance” (Matthew 3:8); fruits of identity (Matthew 7:16); “good fruit” (Matthew 7:19); “fruit in every good work” (Colossians 1: 10); “fruit of the Spirit” (Galatians 5:22); “much fruit” (John 15:8).

So, which kind of fruit bearers are we? He is the judge.

In John 15:8 Jesus says “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples.”

A lockdown continues we trust that you will be kept safe under His wings. Thank you, again, for your prayers and support. Please “take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfil it.” Colossians 4:17.
